Neuropsychotherapy
Neuropsychotherapy approach is underpinned by science and utilizes a biopsychosocial model that recognizes the knowledge and importance of the strong and dynamic influence between the brain, mind, body, people and environment.
Neuropsychotherapy, therefore, uses a holistic and multidisciplinary approach that draws upon a number of evidence based approaches to address the complex interplay of the client’s mental state and condition. Neuropsychotherapy is used to address a number of conditions including Anxiety, Depression, OCD, trauma, workplace stress and interpersonal issues. Clients learn to understand and recognise the underlying neurobiological mechanisms of their mental state, negative experiences and unhelpful behaviours. From a practical perspective clients gain knowledge into “why” and “how” certain behaviours and thought processes create limitations and suffering in their life. Clients also learn “why” and “how” particular strategies are helpful and essential to improve their psychological and physical functioning and improve their relationships in the home, work and social environment. |
